Opportunity Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Service Manager to join our team in Surrey, BC. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the performance of the local Service department and team. Key Responsibilities Manage the performance and development of the Service department staff, including driving accountability of the team members, staffing the department appropriately, and facilitating proper training. Partner with the Human Resources department on labour related and sensitive personnel issues. Contribute to continuous improvement by leading or supporting LEAN initiatives, improving the overall efficiency of the department. Proactively manage the Service fleet as it relates to vehicle purchases, replacements, repairs and maintenance. Conduct weekly toolbox meetings with the local Parts and Service teams. Work in partnership with other Internal Business Units to develop and grow key customer accounts while generating new business and revenue streams. Actively address customer service issues and customer disputes. Closely manage Key Performance Indicators that relate to the Service department. Strategically analyze financial statements, utilizing them as a tool to drive the profitability of the department. Advocate and drive compliance on all corporate safety initiatives, policies, and programs. Required Skills & Qualifications 5 or more years of proven supervisory experience. Post‑secondary education in sales, business, management, or a related discipline preferred. Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery or materials handling equipment is considered an asset. Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Superior skills in organization and planning. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Adept at managing conflicting priorities in parallel. The base pay range for this role is: $90,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus an annual bonus. This is an onsite role based in Surrey, BC.
