Develop and implement sales plans for your team to achieve monthly and annual goals. Contribute ideas to and participate in the development and implementation of the dealership’s marketing and advertising initiatives. Ensure successful conversion of leads to sales. Monitor performance metrics related to your team including sales and customer experience metrics. Develop and maintain relationships with valued clients to promote the dealership’s brand. Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for growth. Curate an exceptional client experience. Develop a strong team to fully execute the sales strategy. Develop and encourage strong working relationships with all associates and stakeholders. Deliver on financial results while ensuring compliance with company policies and corporate governance. Promote professional development within a team environment, ensuring associates are held accountable. Lead, demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment ensuring all safety standards, policies, procedures and compliance requirements are communicated, implemented and followed. Identify high demand vehicles based on market trends and dealership sales data. Source used vehicles through auctions, trade‑ins, wholesalers, and direct purchases. Build and maintain relationships with auction representatives, wholesalers and industry partners. Arrange transportation and shipping for purchases. Coordinate timely reconditioning and front‑line readiness. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a Used Car Manager role. Experience with buying vehicles. Post‑Secondary education in a related discipline is an asset. Some experience in a leadership role. Strong understanding of dealership accounting practices, budgeting, and expense management. Professional and able to deliver exceptional client service. Excellent people management skills: leadership, team development, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills. Diplomacy, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, able to gain support of senior leadership and other decision makers. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to manage priorities, perform a variety of tasks and meet deadlines and targets. High integrity, trusted, and consistent in honoring commitments. Detail oriented, self‑motivated and resourceful. Results‑driven, entrepreneurial spirit and strong desire to be successful. Experience using CRM systems or other automotive software systems is an asset. Understanding of Provincial Safety code requirements for dealerships.
