Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a Supervisor, Distribution Centre to play a key role within the department. This position is responsible for managing and achieving the daily and weekly production targets, leading teams towards achieving business unit objectives, and providing leadership to a team of direct reports. This role supports the daily outbound operations of 40,000 automotive hard parts to stores across Ontario. What You’ll Do Determine labour needs based on workload and assign tasks accordingly Serve as key holder, responsible for security of the facility; assist in areas relating to loss prevention, security, and safety controls Play a key role in assisting with Health & Safety initiatives by ensuring all members adhere to proper safety procedures and protocols Provide regular coaching and guidance to all team members pertaining to work expectations, accountability, and deliverables Conduct annual performance evaluations in accordance with demonstrated work deliverables and behaviours; set objectives for team members which align with business objectives Motivate and mentor coaches, designated trainers, and team members Consistently meet internal and external customer expectations through teamwork, respect, and willingness to help and support others What You Bring 4 or more years of experience in a coaching or leadership type role, preferably in a warehouse and/or logistics environment DCCS experience Initiative to continually improve performance and work process through feedback, problem solving, and generating new ideas Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; listens to and follows instructions correctly Accepts accountability and responsibility; demonstrates skill in confronting issues, problem solving, and decision making Good time management skills independent of supervision Ability to work at AHP Airport Road - Monday to Friday afternoon shift (8-hour shift beginning at 1:45 PM) with every third Saturday on schedule Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate starting at $29.00 with annual step progression Comprehensive benefits and retirement programs Performance incentives and continuing education programs Mental health benefits up to $5,000 per year Canadian Tire Profit Sharing Career growth opportunities and product discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
