As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Junior Technical Animator to join the team and help us in crafting the high caliber games our fans have come to expect. Responsibilities Collaborate with our seniors writing Python scripts in order to help us maintain and improve our existing pipelines and animation tools Cooperate with the Animation and Code teams in the prototyping of new gameplay or cinematic animation mechanics Support the rigging team with the creation of a variety of characters, creatures, heads, armors, etc. and ensure their correct functionality in the game Communicate and work with multiple development teams, like Animation, Art, Cinematics, Gameplay Code, Tools, etc. Integrate a variety of assets into the game and validate these are working properly Debug and resolve bugs assigned to you in a timely manner while making sure you meet the production deadlines Communicate with the production team on concerns and production issues ahead of time Support the Lead of the department in any ad hoc tasks and duties Requirements Good understanding of the basics of Python scripting or similar languages, ideally with at least one shipped or completed project involving custom scripts, tool development or workflow improvements At least 1 or 2 years of experience working in the Games industry as a Technical Animator Practical experience implementing characteranimation mechanics in any node-base system like Unreal or similar engines Competent in rigging and skinning in Maya Team oriented and has a strong desire for collaborative participation in a team-based pipeline across different geographic locations Able to take direction and feedback positively, adapt to change and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines Enthusiastic, methodical and organized approach to work with high quality standards Sense of initiative, originality and resourcefulness in problem solving This is a full-time, on-site role, requiring your presence in the office to support collaboration A professional level of written and spoken English* Nice to have Knowledge in Motion Builder is a plus Facial rigging skills and the understanding of FACS Experience with 3D Vectors What we offer An international team of over 500 employees spread across 7 studios around the world, each of which have their own unique qualities, and maintain a small-studio feel An open, collaborative environment where ideas are welcome and encouraged A managerial team consisting of highly experienced game developers at the top of their fields Sharing hobbies and passions with like-minded colleagues Inclusive environment with many activities organized by the studios or the employees Commitment to making the best game possible for the fans, including listening to community feedback * Due to the global nature of our operations and the need to engage daily with an international team, fluency in English is essential for this position at Larian. #J-18808-Ljbffr
