Your role at Dynatrace As a Dynatrace Solution Engineer, you will be a key member of the Dynatrace sales engine and will be responsible for providing excellent technical support to the sales team. You will be the expert on Dynatrace and all facets of Advanced Observability. In this role you will execute demos that demonstrate Dynatrace’s unique approach to solving the customer’s pain, manage POCs onsite and remotely, build key relationships with Dynatrace customers, and complete RFIs and RFPs. You will collaborate with Dynatrace’s innovation labs, Expert Services consultants, CSMs and marketing. About You To succeed as a Solution Engineer at Dynatrace, you must be ambitious, confident, self‑motivated, and have previous SE experience or another technical customer‑facing role. You should be passionate about innovative technology, technical sales, and articulating value to customers and prospects. In addition, we look for the following: Excellent teamwork and cross‑disciplinary collaboration skills. Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to translate technical value into business value. 3–5 years of experience with observability or application performance management technologies. Strong troubleshooting skills to produce working outcomes and manage the process. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work with diverse sales teams, and support other SEs as needed. A strong desire to grow professionally, adapt to change, and be coachable. Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time. Responsibilities Evangelize Dynatrace’s product offerings during trade shows and key customer meetings. Partner with sales representatives to identify new sales opportunities and expand existing accounts. Participate in PoC creation and cloud architecture discussions, leading technical solution evaluation for multiple POCs. Present Dynatrace’s vision to C‑suite executives. Provide technical guidance throughout the Discovery, Solution Evaluation, and Proposal stages of the sales cycle. Lead on‑stage demonstrations at industry events, ensuring key demos are delivered by you or your team. Gather, qualify, and provide customer feedback to Product Management to improve market share. Support partners and serve as their technical point of contact. Position may be filled at a higher level based on candidate experience. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience. 3 years of experience in the observability space. Preferred Requirements Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, and databases. Advanced knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux). Experience with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines.
