Senior Consultant (Geology) Toronto, ON, Canada Description of Responsibilities SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc. is seeking a Senior Consultant (Geology) for a permanent, full‑time position in our Toronto office (1500–155 University Avenue). The senior geologist will support both mineral resource geology modeling and structural geology projects. Responsibilities include data analysis, 3D geological modeling, geostatistics, mineral resource estimation, support to due diligence and other mining studies, operational support, technical reporting, structural geological components of exploration, mineral resource definition, engineering (scoping, pre‑feasibility, feasibility), and due diligence studies. Work also includes field and mine litho‑structural mapping, drill core analysis, data quality assessment and management, and computer‑based 2D/3D geological interpretations. Essential Requirements A postgraduate degree specializing in mineral resource estimation and/or the structural geology of mineral deposits 8+ years of applied mineral resource estimation and/or structural geology experience in an exploration or operational capacity Mining/metals exploration experience Strong geostatistical skills and proficiency with computerized resource estimation tools Sound geological understanding of ore deposits with 3D geological modeling skills Professional membership of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) or the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), or eligibility to obtain it Strong theoretical background with demonstrated competence in defining applied solutions Proficiency with GIS and 3D modeling software Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to generate, implement, and complete projects An established network within the mining industry Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, the language of work for this role Dynamic and energetic leadership skills, including the ability to mentor younger consultants Capacity to act as a Qualified Person or equivalent to satisfy requirements for National Instrument 43‑101, JORC, SAMREC, etc. Additional Beneficial Experience Experience with modern, implicit modeling tools and/or geophysical interpretation Prior consulting experience Compensation and Benefits The estimated base pay range for this position is $120,000 – $160,000. The salary offered will be commensurate with relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
