The Opportunity In this role, you will support Engineering Sales activities by contributing to tendering, quotation, and bid preparation within the power industry. You will work closely with the Canadian Business Unit, sales, engineering, and cross‑functional teams to prepare accurate technical and commercial offers aligned with customer requirements. Your work will support competitive positioning, margin objectives, and consistent quality in customer proposals. You will be involved in reviewing customer technical specifications, preparing quotations, supporting bid strategies, and ensuring that tender documentation meets internal standards and external requirements. As part of a tendering organization, your role will help enable reliable project execution, support customer confidence, and contribute to the quality and performance of power solutions delivered to the market. This position offers hands‑on exposure to bidding processes and cross‑functional collaboration within a global power technology organization. How You’ll Make an Impact Review tender documents, technical specifications, and customer requirements to understand project scope. Prepare bids, quotations, and estimates based on defined technical and commercial inputs. Support pricing development using cost data, benchmarks, and historical information. Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement, controlling, and other functions during tender preparation. Support bid strategy discussions by sharing findings related to risks, clarifications, and scope. Assist with supplier identification and technical evaluation of vendor offers. Ensure tender documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with internal standards. Support communication with customers and provide technical assistance during the tendering process. Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your Background Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada. Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tender management and quotation preparation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with tender management tools or CRM systems. Able to support cross‑functional collaboration with accuracy and attention to detail.
