Reporting and Culture Reporting to the Director, Practice Operations , you will join a culture where innovation is encouraged and your leadership will directly impact the quality and efficiency of our national operations. You will work through a network of discipline leaders, digital champions, and subject matter experts across the firm, supported by Practice Operations and our IT team. We are looking for a professional who can set a clear direction for our digital future and ensure our teams are aligned and supported as we grow. Role Purpose The Manager, Digital Design & Delivery is responsible for the ownership, evolution, and consistency of the firm’s digital design standards and governance framework. This role is essential to our digital maturity, ensuring that CADD, BIM, and related platforms are used effectively and consistently across all technical disciplines. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain a robust, firm‑wide digital modeling framework, including CADD, BIM, and Data Standards, designed to move beyond basic output toward a data‑driven delivery model. Ensure digital workflows and deliverables are aligned with client needs and standards across a diverse range of Practices. Develop a comprehensive framework that promotes adoption of enterprise templates and workflows to reduce regional silos and manual rework. Build consensus among technical leaders and demonstrate the value of standardized practices during organizational transitions. Oversee integration of enterprise standards into project delivery and QA/QC processes nationwide. Establish mechanisms to drive adoption and ensure adherence to enterprise standards, including integration with project start‑up and QA/QC processes. Partner with practice leadership to identify and work through a network of practice, discipline, and team‑based leaders to ensure a clear path for standards adoption and technical feedback. Provide clear direction on roles and responsibilities within this network to support effective rollout, adoption, and ongoing support of digital standards. Ensure digital standards are integrated into the day‑to‑day work of our design teams. Provide strategic oversight of the digital design resource pool, including evaluation and management of external delivery partners to ensure flexible capacity. Oversee training and onboarding initiatives to equip technical staff for our evolving digital ecosystem. Determine when to leverage external delivery partners to support capacity needs or specialized capabilities, ensuring alignment with quality, efficiency, and business objectives. Serve as primary lead for design software vendors and industry partners, coordinating with IT on licensing, infrastructure, and system alignment. Stay actively connected to AEC industry trends to ensure Dillon’s delivery models remain competitive and future‑ready. Evaluate and recommend new tools and plugins based on their ability to drive productivity and enterprise‑wide value. Coordinate with IT and Practice Leadership to manage software upgrades and testing for a seamless experience for project teams. Analyze design‑to‑delivery processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency. Develop and execute a 12–24 month Digital Delivery Roadmap that supports the firm’s long‑term business plan and innovation goals, including design automation, generative design, and Digital Twin integration. Qualifications 10+ years of professional experience in technical design, engineering, or planning, with a deep understanding of the project delivery lifecycle. 5+ years of experience in a leadership role focused on digital delivery, standards governance, or technical practice operations. Experience working within a multi‑discipline consulting firm and understanding challenges of standardizing practices across diverse teams. Experience balancing internal operational efficiencies with the delivery requirements of a diverse client base. Proven ability to lead large‑scale initiatives and influence teams to adopt new ways of working in a complex, multidisciplinary environment. Experience managing relationships with major software vendors and/or external delivery partners. Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working across diverse teams. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and ability to articulate a vision and build buy‑in across all levels. Strong eye for identifying inefficiencies and passion for creating scalable, repeatable solutions. Strong working knowledge of the CADD/BIM landscape (Revit, Civil 3D, GIS) to provide high‑level direction and oversight. Compensation $95,000 - $145,000 Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
