French and English Teacher/Tutor Wanted Eager to help students turn “Je ne sais pas” into “Oh la la”? Motivated to help support children’s French and English education outside of the classroom? Are you a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic bilingual speaker? Join the team at Oxford Learning Willowdale as a part-time French teacher/tutor/coach. Ignite your passion for helping students succeed – en français! We teach students HOW to learn French and English. We help students improve their academic and study skills in a small group setting. We have a lot of fun! Our class sizes are small with a maximum of three students per teacher. We provide all of the curriculum and lessons. Teachers do not need to lesson plan. Our teachers explain and guide students through the provided material and help students talk about their understanding. Position Requirements Availability during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm) as well as some Saturdays (9:00 am - 1:00 pm) Available for a minimum of 2 evenings/week Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written French and English In-person instruction Ability to commute to the designated location – relocation packages are not available Mandatory vulnerable sector screening Education Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered Teaching certification an asset Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 French curriculum Experience Some experience teaching/tutoring French and English at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding Strong English written and oral communication skills Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time Responsibilities Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels Teaching online and in-person Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Filling in post-lesson notes Completing daily student communication updates Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times Benefits Fun staff events Ongoing training opportunities Frequent check-ins and feedback Company growth opportunities Hands‑on development of your teaching skills Job Type Part‑time Salary $18 - $23 / hour Schedule Evenings Monday to Friday Saturday availability Location Oxford Learning North York WillowdaleUnit 302, 121 Willowdale Ave., North York, ONTel: Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the North York area. #J-18808-Ljbffr
