Description The Conklin Resource Development Advisory Committee (“CRDAC”) is requesting a quote from a qualified contractor/company (the “Contractor”, herein) to complete topsoil removal and stockpile, and gravel pad construction for a pre‑manufactured Greenhouse. Expectations Topsoil removal and stockpile and gravel pad installation for a pre‑manufactured Greenhouse located on 125 Jack Pine Place northwest of the existing detached garage. See Figure 1. Topsoil, up to a depth of 300 mm, must be removed from the gravel pad area and stockpiled on site. The area must be excavated down to clay prior to gravel pad construction. See Figure 1 for the gravel pad area and stockpile location. Includes all removal and stockpiling costs for topsoil. Gravel Pad Preparation: The gravel pad must have a 1–2 % slope from the center of the Greenhouse footprint to the perimeter of the Greenhouse (area of the pad beneath the Greenhouse) and must be uniform throughout to ensure a balanced foundation for the structure. The pad outside of the Greenhouse footprint may have a maximum slope of up to 10 %. Total pad depth must be a minimum of 300 mm. Install non‑woven geotextile fabric between the exposed subgrade and the installed gravel pad. Gravel must be compacted using a mechanical tamper in maximum lifts of 150 mm to ensure minimal erosion. Gravel may require moisture conditioning to obtain adequate compaction. The edge of the pad must be clean, smooth, and level with the adjacent surface. See the attached photos and figures for the Greenhouse location and configuration. See Figure 2. The pad will cover an area of approximately 20 m² and will require approximately 6 m³ of material. Secure, mobilize, and install the pre‑manufactured Greenhouse from the CRDAC office on 114 Father Mercredi’s Trail, Conklin AB T0P 1H1, east of the Conklin Multiplex. See Figure 3. Load, secure, and mobilize the 3 m × 4.88 m × 3.05 m (L × W × H) Greenhouse from the office. Transport the unit approximately 3.0 km to the new location on 125 Jack Pine Place, northwest of the existing detached garage. Placement of the Greenhouse onto the newly constructed gravel pad. Ensure any damage sustained during mobilization is repaired to original condition. Installation of power receptacle box and run power to the Greenhouse: Run a dedicated underground line from the adjacent detached garage to the Greenhouse pad. Install an outdoor‑rated receptacle timber post within one metre of the Greenhouse footprint. Requirements A valid business license to operate in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. A locally owned and operated business is preferred. Must have experience and necessary equipment to complete the service. Must have a minimum of $2,000,000 liability insurance policy and adequate insurance on any vehicle necessary to fulfill the requirements of the service. A copy of this insurance policy must be made available to CRDAC upon request. Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) Clearance.
