We are currently seeking a Capture Manager – Payload for our Satellite Systems team at our Montreal office. Role The Capture Manager’s primary focus is to accomplish key activities related to the front end of the business. The main objectives are to provide leadership in new business capture management, pricing and bids, market analysis & requirements management, cost reduction strategy, and product technical presentations to support business development activities and business cases for new products. Tasks Coordinate product bids and proposals. Work with customers to identify the system solution that best suits their needs. Develop and execute capture plans and strategies to secure and win new advanced system solution business opportunities that may require a custom solution. Manage proposals for specific opportunities. Collaborate with Business Development and lead proposal teams to develop winning solutions. Perform accurate costing in line with actual performance of the organization. Prepare pricing information as required. Seek appropriate approvals. Prepare proposal packages as required. Lead customer presentations. Support negotiation of won opportunities and ensure a handoff to the program execution team that passes the plan, cost, schedule, and value proposition to the Customer. Perform product/market assessments as input into the product development and marketing plans. Required Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in a relevant technical field, ideally with exposure to satellite subsystems. Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical/business education. Technical system background in analog and digital payloads is an asset. Self‑motivated with strong interpersonal skills. Team player who demonstrates integrity. Strong analytical skills and creativity. Thorough knowledge of relevant technologies, products, services and methods. Focused on achieving agreed upon outcomes and meeting key objectives. Result‑oriented with excellent critical thinking. Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing parameters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is an asset. Special Considerations Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
