Northern College is seeking Family Medicine Physicians for our East End Family Health Team (EEFHT) clinic. The team offers a broad range of programs and services with room to expand. The EEFHT clinic, a division of Northern College, is located on the Timmins Campus overlooking the scenic Porcupine Lake, in an area known for great outdoor activities year‑round. Family Health Team practices a collaborative model, where your practice is supported by a team of nurses, mental health workers and administrators. The amount of time or commitment is determined by your availability. The EEFHT is a Blended Salary Model (BSM) Family Health Team where total compensation is based on multiple components including base salary, capitation payments and shadow billing. What you will be doing Effectively manage the primary care needs of a roster of patients with the help of a multidisciplinary team. Be involved with health promotion activities to optimize the health of people, families, communities and populations. Function within your scope of practice. Demonstrate and maintain competence in clinical practice, including health assessment, diagnosis and therapeutics. Ensure standards of patient care are maintained according to accepted medical standards and company policy. What you will need to be considered Medical license and current registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in Family Medicine. Proof of professional liability protection (PLP). Knowledge of the health care system, social determinants of health and community resources. Demonstrated commitment to client‑centered, community‑based care. Experience working in community primary care settings. Experience using electronic medical records (PS Suites is an asset). Strong interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated organisational and time‑management skills. Experience in program planning, research and evaluation. Ability to work collaboratively within and across interdisciplinary teams. Ability to work effectively with people of varied cultural, age and economic backgrounds.
