Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Manager of Finance shall be responsible for the daily financial accounting functions of the Moose Cree First Nation (MCFN) in relation to the administration of First Nation Child & Family Services (FNCFS) program funding and implementing procedures and systems to ensure that an effective and efficient financial service is in place. The Manager of Finance shall work alongside the Child & Family Well‑Being department to support the development of financial and human resources policies, the development of a financial model and business plan, and implementation of Sage lntacct and ADP payroll for Moso Sipiwililiwak Peyakotesiwi Milo Pimatisiwi Atoskewin. The Manager of Finance will assist in the successful transition of FNCFS funded programs from MCFN to Moso Sipiwililiwak Peyakotesiwi Milo Pimatisiwi Atoskewin. The manager must ensure compliance with the financial regulations and policies as set out by Moose Cree First Nation and shall perform other related duties as required. PLEASE NOTE : The successful candidate may later be transitioned to MCFN’s corporation,Môso Sîpîwililiwak Peyakôtesiwi Milo Pimâtisiwi Atoskewin , a separate employer. The transition of services into this corporation is anticipated to occur sometime in 2026. The intention of this job posting is for the successful candidate to be trained in the MCFN’s financial procedures through its Director of Finance and assist with finances of MCFN’s Child and Family Well‑Being Department, and after they are evaluated as successfully trained, when the transition of services from the Department to the corporation takes place, the candidate may be transferred to theMôso Sîpîwililiwak Peyakôtesiwi Milo Pimâtisiwi Atoskewinas its Manager of Finance to oversee its financial operations. Qualifications/Requirements:Post-Secondary diploma in the Accounting or Business‑related field or an acceptable combination of education and work experience with financial accounting. Knowledge and work experience in the finance/accounting Knowledge of FNCFS Funding Streams is an asset. Working knowledge and extensive experience working with Sage Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Excellent written and oral communication. Possess excellent customer Must be able to work under minimal supervision and meet Ability to maintain The ability to communicate in the Cree Language is an Must provide a recent P.I.C or proof of application.
