Education Required: Degree in Geology with experience in managing commercial mineral analysis laboratory or Ph.D. with experience related to the mineral analysis used in the industry Other Requirements: Good working knowledge of analytical technologies for inorganic elements Strong computer knowledge and skills, detail‑orientated and motivated Ability to multitask and to meet deadlines Ability to perform under pressure to achieve turnaround requirement Demonstrate strong organizational skills and prioritizing skills Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to give suggestion and act on the next plausible step when problems arise Ability to work well independently and with others Problem solver and analytical thinker Resourceful and logical Establish effective working relationships and manage conflict constructively/positively Responsibilities: Approves reports containing analytical data after review to ensure there is no missing data and appropriate quality control standards were run with samples before release to clients Reviews communications from clients to ensure data sent to clients matches their requests Discusses and responds to clients’ queries related to data in reports as necessary Notifies departments of problems with analytical data after review and requests re‑analysis when needed Discusses and advises clients on analytical packages to select based on their project objectives periodically Compares data from re‑testing after complaints to ensure consistency with information on completed complaint forms from departments Prepares messages for customers to be sent with revised reports following complaints Prepares, reviews and submits data for proficiency testing and round robin for Mineral analysis Advise users on trouble shooting data reporting problems in LIMS and creates reports periodically Any other tasks as determined by the Lab Manager/Process Owner A Workplace for All: At Actlabs, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace environment for all employees.
