The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a flight operations engineer to join our A220 Flight Operations Support and Training Standards team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). In this role, you will work closely with pilots, simulator instructors, and airline operations engineers, while also collaborating with several other Airbus departments, such as flight testing, crew training, engineering, safety, design office, and support and assistance programs. You will be part of the Flight Operations team which develops the necessary data to ensure that pilots and airline operations engineers can operate safely and efficiently. ResponsibilitiesEnsure the update of operational documentation for crews and maintain direct contact with customers to provide support. Bring operational experience and support to airworthiness authorities. Conduct technical studies on a range of ATA systems (with regular updates), particularly in collaboration with the engineering and support department. Define normal or abnormal procedures for flight crews in coordination with other stakeholders. Prepare support documentation for airworthiness authorities (EASA, FAA, TCCA) under the supervision of a CVE/DAD to justify modifications to certified/approved manuals (AFM/MMEL). Study the conditions for issuing MMEL or deviations to propose recommendations to the crew and alternative procedures. Use Airbus aircraft configuration criteria to provide tailored content to operators. Support operators, in coordination with technical support. Respond to operators' questions on technical issues related to aerial operations. Plan and present topics related to aerial operations at seminars. Visit airlines and perform observation flights to improve their operations. Qualifications / RequirementsEngineering degree or Master's in Aeronautical Sciences, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanics, Transportation Systems, Embedded Systems, or a related field. Knowledge of international and local aviation regulations (e.g., ICAO, EASA, FAA, etc.) is a plus. Strong communication skills and teamwork. Experience in the aerospace industry. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to take initiative and manage unforeseen situations autonomously. Ability to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data to improve processes, and provide regular reports to stakeholders. Proficiency in English.
