We are seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to support our ongoing commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence across our job sites. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented safety professional who thrives in both field and office environments. Functions of the job Site Safety & Inspections Conduct regular site visits Perform safety inspections and identify risks Recommend and implement safety improvements and controls Training & Coaching Coordinate and deliver safety training programs Audit employee certifications and ensure compliance Support new hire onboarding and ongoing training needs Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions Assist with WSIB documentation and return-to-work coordination Compliance & Program Management Ensure compliance with OHSA, MOL, WSIB, and other regulations Develop and update company safety policies and procedures Participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings Subcontractor & Project Support Review subcontractor safety programs and qualifications Prepare project-specific safety plans for clients and sites Stay current with legislative changes Contribute to internal safety communications Who is the Ideal Candidate Post-secondary diploma or degree in Health & Safety or related field 2–3 years of experience in construction or similar industry Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) certification an asset Familiarity with Certificate of Recognition (COR) program an asset Elevated Work Platform & Lift Truck Train the Trainer an asset CPO approved Worker at Heights Instructor an asset Valid First Aid & CPR certification an asset Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office What we provide for you Competitive Salary and Benefit package (including medical, dental, vision, RRSP, etc.) Mentoring and support Professional and ongoing training plan Opportunities for internal advancement, development and growth A positive working environment The strength and experience of a Canadian company which has been operating in southwestern Ontario for over 100 years #J-18808-Ljbffr
