Kwanlin Dün First Nation (KDFN) is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified KDFN Citizen & Beneficiary who are interested in advancing into senior leadership roles within our government. As part of our commitment to strengthening internal capacity and creating clear leadership pathways for Citizens, KDFN is establishing Associate Director positions to work alongside Department Directors. These roles are designed as developmental leadership positions with the long-term objective of preparing Citizens for future Director and senior governance roles. Available Position Associate Director, Education Purpose of the Role The Associate Director will work in partnership with the Director of the department to: Support strategic planning and implementation Participate in governance and operational decision-making Build leadership, policy, and management capacity Strengthen program delivery and community impact This role is intentionally developmental. Successful candidates will enter into a structured leadership development pathway, including: A customized job description aligned to experience and strengths A formal training and mentorship plan Exposure to governance processes and executive leadership functions Ongoing performance development and coaching Who Should Apply We invite Expressions of Interest from KDFN Citizens who: Are motivated to grow into senior leadership roles Are prepared to engage in structured development and training; demonstrate a commitment to community Have leadership experience (formal or informal) Bring lived experience, cultural knowledge, and/or professional expertise Demonstrate strong communication and relational skills (conflict resolution, giving and receiving feedback, cultivating respectful and positive relationships) Demonstrate strong boundaries and understanding of conflicts of interest and information sharing in the context of community and professional life balance Are proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. *will be part of the screening/hiring process.
