The Human Rights Tribunal is an independent tribunal established by the Human Rights Code ("Code") to provide dispute resolution services in human rights matters. The Tribunal receives, mediates, and adjudicates complaints in human rights matters. Legal Counsel is responsible for providing the Tribunal and Tribunal Chair with effective legal advice, services and representation regarding complex legal issues related to the Tribunal's mandate under the Human Rights Code. If you have a thorough knowledge of the Human Rights Code and other relevant legislation we look forward to your application. Experience and Qualifications In order for applicants to be considered for this position, their resume must clearly demonstrate that they have the following education and experience: Law degree with current BC licence, or eligible for membership in the Law Society of BC Substantial demonstrated experience in human rights law and practice Administrative law experience Civil courtroom advocacy experience with a preference for experience in judicial review Preference may be given to applicants with experience working for or advising a court or tribunal #J-18808-Ljbffr
