The Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research, invites applications for the following position: Competition Code: S CD May 25 Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Director of the Institute’s Culture and Heritage Department, duties include: developing curriculum materials, performing needs analyses; developing print, audio‑visual and multimedia curricula and learning resources from concept to final product; competency using publishing and graphic design software; evaluating and/or revising developed materials; and working with Michif language keepers to create Michif resources. Other duties include assisting with proposal writing and reporting; financial reporting; budget creation and management; project leading, planning and implementation; recommending curriculum materials, both within the Institute and externally; workshop delivery; meeting planning; overseeing the Department’s projects, partnerships, and performing public relations functions as designated by the Director. Qualifications The candidate will have a Bachelor of Education; successful K‑12 classroom teaching experience; and an extensive knowledge of Métis cultural and educational issues. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, highly motivated, and the ability to work independently with individuals from various equity groups is required. A valid Saskatchewan driver’s licence and willingness to travel is required. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive computer and software literacy and experience, knowledge of publishing industry protocols, experience with project administration.
