Position Overview Effective September 1, 2026, the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at The Hospital for Sick Children is recruiting a full-time permanent staff physician as an Academic Clinician (70% clinical, 30% research, education and administration). The successful candidate will have expertise in neurogastroenterology and motility and experience in endoscopy. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive clinical care including inpatient services, consults, and on-call duties. Perform motility procedures and run outpatient motility clinics. Perform gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures. Manage manometry and other motility testing. Contribute to research and innovation within the division. Participate in leadership activities and serve on interdisciplinary teams. Teach and mentor fellows in the Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition fellowship training program; opportunities to teach in other programs are available. Qualifications Completed training in paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent. Excellent clinical abilities in general Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Subspecialty training and expertise in paediatric neurogastroenterology and motility disorders. Advanced training and special interest in endoscopy is advantageous. Ability to manage manometry and other motility testing is mandatory. Experience in aerodigestive disorders and gut-brain interaction is important. MD, MBBS or equivalent degree. Certification or eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or comparable qualifications. Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Benefits Rank and salary ranging from 275,543 to 340,000 dollars per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Academic appointment at the University of Toronto.
