Description We are seeking a Data Platform Lead Engineer to support the design, build, and evolution of the enterprise data platform that underpins analytics, AI, and reporting across the organization. This role is responsible for technical leadership, architecture, and engineering standards to ensure the platform is secure, scalable, reliable, and governed.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implementation of the enterprise data platform, including ingestion, storage, processing, consumption layers and data productsDefine and enforce engineering standards for data pipelines, platform reliability, security, and performanceProvide hands on technical leadership to data engineers and platform teamsCollaborate with architecture, governance, security, and business teams to align the platform with enterprise requirementsEnsure data quality, metadata, lineage, and access controls are embedded into the platform by designRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong experience designing and building large scale data platforms (cloud or hybrid)Deep expertise in data engineering, data modeling, and pipeline orchestrationExperience with modern data technologies (e.g., cloud data warehouses, lake/lakehouse, streaming, ELT/ETL)Proven ability to lead technical design, make architecture decisions, and mentor senior engineersExperience supporting analytics and AI/ML workloads on an enterprise data platformFamiliarity with data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirementsExperience with Azure-based or other major cloud data ecosystemsThis is a hybrid position requiring the contractor to be on site at least 2 days per week at the Toronto office.Please note that assignment durations, pay rates, and job duties are subject to the client business needs and project requirements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
