Job Summary Equinix’s xScale Business Unit delivers wholesale‑style data center facilities to global hyperscale customers. The Director of xScale Product Strategy & Management will execute the global product strategy, maximize revenue, and minimize risk. This role collaborates closely with stakeholders across the organization—including go‑to‑market, asset management, operations, business operations, PMO, and corporate development—to ensure the product’s market effectiveness and alignment with investor and customer needs. Responsibilities Execute the product strategy to support the xScale line of business and meet the needs of hyperscale customers and Equinix’s business goals. Represent the xScale line of business regarding activating hyperscale data center vision, goals, product capabilities, capacity roadmap, and business cases. Contribute to product strategy, go‑to‑market efforts, and ongoing management of the product strategy lifecycle. Collaborate with xScale Product Management leads to improve the end‑customer experience and lifecycle, focusing on services within the data center and supporting digital & innovation initiatives. Integrate insights from customers, corporate strategy, and research to enhance user experience, prioritize roadmap deliverables, and communicate solutions. Manage stakeholder expectations within and across functions as the regional liaison on behalf of the Product & Strategy Management team. Communicate the product roadmap, including managing backlog and prioritization of initiatives; participate in creating a shared vision and clear product goals. Deliver product training and process enablement curricula; participate in cross‑functional training and meetings. Partner with xScale Business Operations to analyze and optimize value chain activities, establish and monitor KPIs, administer regional promotional support, and implement course corrections with the Enterprise Data & Analytics team. Support commercial teams in customer negotiations and contracts to represent the core xScale business and product management objectives. Qualifications Experience in product management, marketing, development, commercial operations, or a similar role. Understanding of product management fundamentals, including Lean development methodology. Strong technical acumen, preferably with applied experience across data center services and a focus on hyperscale customer segments. Analytical problem‑solving and planning skills to discover, design, and implement practical recommendations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—both verbal and written—along with cultural awareness and the ability to work across multiple geographies. Proven ability to build strong working relationships with peers and key cross‑functional areas within the business. Able to thrive and adapt in a fast‑paced environment and stay abreast of a dynamic industry landscape. Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred). 25‑30% travel for external or internal meetings and industry conferences. Pay Range The targeted pay range for the full‑time position varies by location: United States – Tampa (TAO): 177,000 – 265,000 USD / Annual United States – Dallas (DAI): 177,000 – 265,000 USD / Annual United States – Redwood City (GHQ): 213,000 – 319,000 USD / Annual Canada – Toronto (TRO): 166,000 – 248,000 CAD / Annual The listed ranges represent the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for each location. Compensation may be adjusted based on business needs, experience, and education. Employees are eligible for bonus and equity, depending on the position.
