Description Construction Manager responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day field operations, establishing and monitoring performance targets for multi-trade projects and staff. Recognized as an authority across the organization and externally, the role anticipates client needs, identifies short- and long‑term solutions, and leads a team of superintendents to meet safety, scheduling, budget, quality control and client satisfaction goals. Essential Responsibilities Ensure superintendents have required resources to complete projects per approved plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Lead development of quality policies and procedures. Promote safety, address escalated safety issues, participate in senior management safety discussions. Oversee, lead, and produce regular safety meetings as required. Develop complex project schedules, integrating multiple schedules and resource management. Ensure manpower, materials, tools & resources available to meet schedules across multiple disciplines. Assist estimating team with schedule, execution plan, and labor requirements for large-scale projects, providing manpower and equipment analysis. Provide leadership, guidance, set priorities and allocate resources for overall project staff and managers across related teams. Lead subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations. Qualifications 15+ years of powerline construction experience in a strategic or direct management role, leading high‑performing teams. Post‑secondary education in Construction, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Thorough understanding of current construction practices, complex documents, contracts, costs, budgets. Analytical skills to recognize and analyze key issues, develop solutions across scope. Ability to develop and foster long‑term relationships with stakeholders and mentor a strong leadership team. Excellent communication skills, anticipating stakeholder needs while leading and mentoring diverse teams. Track record of building successful teams, motivating, coaching, consensus‑building. Clean driver's abstract. Successful completion of pre‑employment drug & alcohol requirements. Experience on industrial / oil & gas, or mining projects and assets. Working Conditions Site‑based role, possible rotational shift depending on project location. Living allowance or accommodations provided; travel allowances provided.
