Senior Landscape Architect – Alberta Landscape Architecture & Urban Design Location: Edmonton, Alberta As a senior member of the Landscape Architecture & Urban Design team, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects in a leadership role while helping to win new work through active involvement in proposals and project delivery. Your Impact Lead landscape architecture and urban design projects from concept through contract administration. Shape communities through high‑quality, environmentally responsible, and socially conscious design. Mentor and support early‑career professionals within a multidisciplinary team environment. Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and communities across Central and Northern Alberta. Contribute to proposal development, helping secure new work and expand WSP’s presence in the region. Collaborate with teams across Western Canada to deliver integrated, innovative solutions. Represent WSP with professionalism when engaging the public, clients, and project partners. The Skills That Set You Apart Full Member in Good Standing with the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects (AALA) or equivalent provincial association, with professional seal. 15+ years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture. Strong technical capability across design development and construction documentation, including site design, grading, planting design, detailing, and contract administration. Demonstrated project management experience with sound financial and commercial acumen. Proven ability to prepare and lead proposal development efforts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting design ideas to clients, stakeholders, and the public. Proficiency in core design and administrative software (CAD, Adobe, Microsoft Office). Willingness to perform field work, conduct site visits, and observe construction activities. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Assets considered an advantage ISA Certification. Experience with Civil 3D, SketchUp, Lumion, Revit, Rhino, and GIS. Additional credentials in Accessible Design, Environmental Stewardship, or related specialties. Fluency in a second language (French considered an asset).
