Supply Chain Manager - Aerospace Programs The Supply Chain Manager would be the person responsible for the day-to-day actions of Supply Chain. The individual would be responsible for investigation/study of operational and logistics information provided by CDN JPO and other sources to create an implementable and efficient SCM program which is compliant with LMA/US JPO. This position would have 3 direct reports. Areas of Responsibility Responsible for all inventories held at our warehouses. Responsible for all purchasing activities. Responding for all transportation activities. Responsible for supply management activities in DRMIS and our inventory management systems. Personnel management of all Supply Chain personnel at our multiple locations. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and customers. Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met. Use computer software to track goods from origin to delivery. Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analyzing performance. Manage the costs involved while maintaining quality. Manage and motivate a team of supply chain staff. Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers. Manage and minimize the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain. Consider the environmental impact of the supply chain in order to meet sustainability targets. Implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector. Control vendor and delivery processes. Qualifications 10 years DND Logistics experience at the Logistics Officer Level. Must be able to understand and manage transactions in Canadian Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS). Proficient with Microsoft Office at least at Intermittent Level. 10+ years’ experience managing complex supply chain organizations in a military or defence environment. Demonstrated experience operating under ITAR-controlled programs and compliance frameworks.
