Overview The Department of Clinical Neurosciences in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Full-Stack Application Developer. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 1 year (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension. This position reports to the Associate Director, Research & Innovation, RESTORE Network. The role focuses on developing a mobile and web application that assists in the development, tracking, and management of clinical trials. The app architecture will be led by the developer, with a functional prototype built using Flutter and Dart. The role requires designing UI for user interaction and integrating 3rd party APIs to communicate with cloud services. The Fullstack Developer will contribute to the complete software development cycle, including writing clean and maintainable code, submitting code reviews, and creating clear documentation. Summary of Key Responsibilities Contribute to the complete software development cycle, including writing clean and maintainable code, submitting code reviews, and creating clear documentation Build and maintain a codebase for a mobile and web application that supports iOS, Android and web Translate user needs into solutions within the application Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to define the strategy and scope of the application Maintain and expand cloud architecture as the user base expands Oversee the entire development lifecycle of the application, including design, development, testing, release, and post-release support Qualifications / Requirements Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Informatics or related field Minimum 3 years of experience developing native or web-based mobile applications Expertise with Java, C#, Javascript, Kotlin, Objective-C with preference for Dart Good understanding of programming best practices Experience working with Git, BLoC pattern, Agile development Experience with AWS; AWS certification preferred Experience contributing to the complete software cycle (writing clean code, testing, code review, and documenting) Experience with 3rd party APIs Experience with GraphQL APIs Knowledge of asynchronous programming Experience in development and deployment of mobile applications for iOS and Android Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to perform detailed design, documentation, and implementation of moderately complex technological systems Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, with judgment within guidelines Knowledge of HIPAA, PIPEDA, GDPR compliance is desirable Application Deadline: May 27, 2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr
