Overview AML Solution Architect with AWS and Snowflake — 12 months Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Architect with expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) solution architecture, Snowflake, and AWS solution architecture to design and implement robust, scalable, and compliant technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs with technical execution, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and enterprise objectives. Responsibilities Design and implement AML compliance frameworks, leveraging advanced analytics and transaction monitoring systems. Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory standards (FINTRAC, FATF). Optimize AML workflows for efficiency, accuracy, and real-time detection capabilities. Architect and optimize data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics solutions in Snowflake; ensure data governance, security, and performance best practices. Integrate Snowflake with AML and AWS ecosystems for seamless data flow. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS. Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance with AWS Well-Architected Framework. Partner with engineering, data science, and compliance teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Mentor junior architects and developers on best practices. Evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration. Qualifications 8 years in solution architecture, with 3 years focused on AML systems (e.g., Actimize, NICE, or custom solutions). Proven expertise in Snowflake (data modeling, SQL, Snowpipe, tasks). AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional) or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of cloud-native services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift). Experience with regulatory compliance (AML, KYC, GDPR). Financial services or banking industry experience preferred.
