Work Conditions Home office Monday to Thursday in office, Friday remote – 40 hours per week. Periodic site travel may be requested. Ability to obtain nuclear clearance for nuclear assignments. Position Description The candidate will be responsible for establishing integrated EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) P6 schedules, including bids/proposals. They will fully understand all aspects of the EPCM life cycle related to schedules, integrate schedules from multiple contributors, and properly resource load across all project phases using tools such as deliverable lists, engineering and procurement flow charts, 3D models, work packages, drawings, and estimating information. The planner/scheduler will also provide ongoing updates, maintenance, and analysis of the schedules, identify issues early, and resolve common scheduling problems without intervention from project or client management. They will deliver detailed time analyses to the integrated project team and communicate potential delays or opportunities promptly. The role may require accountability for multiple projects and flexibility depending on departmental requirements. Responsibilities Create and maintain master schedules (Level II‑V) based on specific project requirements and inputs from multiple departments. Develop and maintain resource‑loaded project master schedules as per the project WBS. Identify interface points between schedule groups and create appropriate MIS (Milestone Interface Schedules). Create and manage EPS coding dictionaries for cross‑schedule analysis. Ensure key activities and schedule milestone dates identified in the schedule basis are captured in the project master schedule. Develop the Basis of Schedule document. Coordinate with stakeholders: internal management, engineering and procurement leads, construction leads, turnover and commissioning groups, and client representatives. Update the schedule with progress tracking information and align earned progress with scorecard updates; understand earning rules, scorecard setup, and integration. Determine schedule quality using Acumen Fuse and resolve shortcomings. Experience with Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA) is an asset. Assess schedule impacts as part of change management and modify the schedule to reflect approved changes. Organize Inter‑Active Planning (IAP) sessions throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with workface planning groups to ensure proper package decomposition in schedules. Monitor schedule milestones and key deliverable dates; notify the project team of variances and initiate mitigation. Coordinate with contractors and vendors on development and management of their schedules, including interface processes. Organize required schedule reviews with project personnel. Assist project controls specialists in updating various progressing systems and applying progress to the live schedule. Ensure contractors and vendors’ progress is applied to the live schedule or perform the application if unable. Use schedule data as source for all time‑phased needs (cashflow, commodities, resourcing, etc.). Create and maintain multiple schedule views and layouts, including 90‑day lookaheads, 3‑week lookaheads, critical path, and others as required. Coordinate with leads from each phase on all schedule updates; maintain ad‑hoc schedules aligned with P6. Review variance analysis with stakeholders after each schedule update and address it in reporting narratives. Assist Project Controls in developing skyline charts for EWP IFC, module assembly, system walkdowns, and turnover. Update and maintain reporting views reliant on schedule data, including Power BI reports and accurate schedule representation. Incorporate approved changes and analyze their impact on the project critical path. Provide feedback to key stakeholders on overall project status, including: Critical Path Analysis. Resource Forecasting/Histogram Preparation. Forecast to Project Controls for report generation. Information required for internal and external reporting. Qualifications Experience in integrated, geographically diverse design teams. Experience across all project phases: Study FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) Detail Engineering Capital Equipment Procurement Fabrication and Modularization Field Construction Commissioning Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable Primavera P6 experience in an EPCM setting; proficiency in scheduling and reporting. Ability to read and understand SOW and estimating documents. Proficiency with 3D modeling software (Navisworks). Strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent communication in English. General knowledge of IT programs used in estimating and project controls. Thorough knowledge of schedule principles and their application. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure on complex issues across multiple projects. Knowledge of Power BI, Acumen Fuse, and PRA is an asset. Education and Accreditation Engineering degree or certified journeyperson with relevant experience. Salary For applicants based in Ontario, the salary range is $118,000 to $130,000 CAD.
