Responsibilities As a shop visit cost specialist, you will: Develop a unique mix of technical, operational, and commercial expertise Gain experience within the aerospace MRO environment Exposure to cross-functional decision-making processes Strengthen ability to influence without formal authority Build a strong foundation in cost management Develop skills in performance management Work within a global organizational context Acquire responsibility for managing shop visit costs to optimize profitability of maintenance contracts Define repair workscopes aligned with technical and commercial objectives Evaluate options and work with experts during the repair process Ensure detailed reporting for each workshop visit and standardize documentation to enable continuous learning Act as liaison between Customer Managers and the workshop, ensuring timely and relevant information flow about the client, engine status in shop, and financial performance Qualifications Required Technical diploma in aerospace; AME license; or university degree in engineering or sciences Minimum 7 years of experience in engine maintenance and repair Experience in an MRO operations environment Preferred Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships Knowledge of technical documentation, engine performance, maintenance documentation, and the engine repair/overhaul process Strong analytical capability to interpret cost and performance data for technical and commercial decisions Critical thinking and curiosity to identify risks and opportunities Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams in a complex, fast-paced environment without formal authority Familiarity with MRO financial principles (cost drivers, margin analysis, billing processes) is an asset Note: This position operates in a Francophone work environment, but requires good English proficiency to read and understand daily international documentation and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.
