Job Summary Compass Group Canada is a leading provider of exceptional hospitality and food & beverage services. We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Hospitality Supervisor to join our team, delivering outstanding client relationships and superior service experiences. Salary Salary range: $48,000 to $52,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications and internal equity. Eligible employees may be entitled to additional elements of total compensation, including group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs where applicable to the role. Artificial intelligence–based tools may be used at certain stages of the recruitment and applicant screening process. Responsibilities Supervise employees in the Catering/Barista Department. Coordinate staff schedules to ensure all catered functions and cafe operations are covered. Manage both departments’ staff members, utilizing them in areas needed for daily operations. Communicate daily with the hospitality director to ensure there are no gaps in service. Assist barista and catering departments with hands‑on tasks during peak periods (e.g., setups, cashier, stocking inventory) to ensure departments are supported when required. Manage office coffee area, order required inventory and ensure team members are fulfilling duties. Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items for both catering, cafe and office coffee. Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions (room setups, BEO details, start and end times, etc.). Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures. Ensure team members maintain/sanitize equipment, supplies and utensils. Meet with clients to discuss setup arrangements, portions, optimal operational setups and address last‑minute changes as needed. See the catering process through the entire cycle (coordinating, organizing, setup, maintaining, billing, invoicing). Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service‑oriented manner. Order product for barista operations (coffee, syrups, milks, teas, paper products, etc.). Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations. Qualifications Minimum of two years of related food service management experience, including one year of catering experience. Proficient in controlling food and labor costs. Creative application of trendy food items and presentations to enhance food service operations. Strong leadership abilities, serving as a motivator, mentor, and leader. Detail‑oriented with exceptional team collaboration skills. Outstanding client relationship and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
