Role Description Arcadis is seeking a Power Market Sector Leader for our Canadian environmental consulting practice. This position can reside anywhere in Canada. The successful candidate will have a clear plan for building and driving sustainable Power Market Sector growth and must have direct experience providing environmental and/or environmental engineering services for Power Sector clients. The role is client facing and technical. This is an exciting opportunity for a self‑motivated professional (P.Eng, P.Geo, or another designation) and recognized leader in the industry to join our growing team. The Canadian Power Market Sector Leader will direct the Client Development Strategy for our clients in nuclear, hydro‑electric, wind, solar, offshore wind, battery storage, and other renewables industries from an environmental perspective to accelerate growth in Canada. Accountabilities Definition and execution of the Canadian power market sector strategy from an environmental perspective Generation of world‑class sector insights Translation of Global, North American, Canadian, and Divisional value propositions to the Canadian Power Market Sector client base The Market Sector Leader will manage growth acceleration in Canadian Power Market Sector including key growth accounts and coordination with Arcadis Global Community of Practice leaders. Strong business development skills, solid client base and contacts, positive industry recognition, and a seller‑doer mentality are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high‑level proposal writing ability, and a track record of winning and managing projects are required. The role is client‑facing, requiring technical experience and an environmentally driven approach combined with business development leadership. Responsibilities include development and execution of the Canadian power market sector strategy, coordination of growth objectives, overall revenue and margin growth, analysis and valuation of the local division, and financial planning of the Power Sector. Translating global, national, and divisional propositions into commercially viable market sector propositions that differentiate Arcadis, leading knowledge management and dissemination of sector insights, and contributing to national and divisional marketing and communication plans are critical duties. Identifying new client, product, service, and value proposition opportunities within the Canadian market sector is part of the remit. Supporting pursuits with tailored sector insights, managing key client identification and selection, recruiting, developing, and managing employee performance, and promoting a vibrant health and safety culture are additional responsibilities. Qualifications & Experience Client facing experience, business development, technically driven with a strong background in providing environmental and/or environmental engineering for Power Sector clients 10+ years of planning and design consulting experience (or equivalent) in the power industry Proven track record of growing a Power sector business with client satisfaction and positive industry recognition Previous experience with clients and/or contacts in the sector Client facing and engagement skillset Undergraduate degree in Civil/Chemical/Environmental Engineering or Earth Science related fields Professional Engineer and/or Geoscientist designation within the province of practice and a member in good standing with the regulating professional association Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree Salary The salary range for this position is $113,000‑149,000.
