A Snapshot of Your Day The Lifting Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all lifting operations within the North American region for SGRE. This includes planning, supervising, and monitoring lifting activities in accordance with company standards, OEM requirements, and local legislation. The role aims to eliminate hazards and minimize risks associated with lifting operations. How You’ll Make An Impact Planning & Risk Assessment Assess tasks and identify hazards for all lifting operations. Develop and review lift plans and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) for standard and complex lifts. Ensure compliance with OEM manuals and local regulations. Ensure regional compliance with SGRE’s Lifting Operations and requirements. Execution & Supervision Oversee assembly, disassembly, and relocation of cranes and lifting equipment. Monitor lifting operations to ensure alignment with approved plans. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities. Safety & Compliance Implement risk mitigation measures and elevate non‑compliance issues. Ensure lifting zones are established and maintained. Verify competence and certification of all personnel involved through audits and training. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of risk assessments, lift plans, and competence evidence. Manage deviations through the Management of Change process. Report lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement region‑wide and across SGRE. What You Bring Practical and theoretical knowledge of lifting operations (minimum 5 years). Familiarity with OEM requirements and industry standards. Ability to plan and supervise complex lifting operations, including tandem lifts. Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification. Relevant certifications in lifting operations and crane safety (as per local legislation). Engineering or technical degree. Engineering or technical degree preferred but can be replaced by applicable experience. About The Team This position will be part of the Project Management Organization (PMO) that manages and executes onshore field‑based projects.
