Cameco is looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our geology team. In this position, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist. Responsibilities Ensure acquisition and management of diamond drill core logging, record data into the database and verify the accurate selection and shipment of core samples. Have oversight for underground tunneling, provide guidance on development, ground conditions and ensure prints are followed. Be responsible for recording and reporting NATM (New Austrian Tunnelling Method) activity, underground mapping of development headings, computerized data management, data quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and radiometric probing. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering. Minimum of two years of relevant geological/mine geology experience (core logging, underground geological mapping). Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered. Experience working in an underground work environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability and willingness to perform manual labour, including heavy lifting, as required for this position. Valid class 5 driver's licence. Safety oriented work attitude. Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft. Recommended Qualifications Eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). Working knowledge of geological database and mining software: AcQuire, Vulcan and Leapfrog.
