Position Summary Outside Sales Representative is responsible for selling products through the achievement of opportunity-based sales. They will reach business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer sites, develop profitable relationships with customers, and maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentation skills are essential for this role. Requirements for Success We are seeking an energetic and proactive sales professional who can drive growth and build strong client relationships. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain and foster relationships with current customers, ensuring their needs are met. Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within the client base. Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices, and prepare sales order forms and reports. Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth with a focus on value‑added products. Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, including cold calling if necessary. Maintain awareness of new products and competitor activities. Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity and represent the company positively. Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory efficiently. Use marketing data and applicable sales management software tools to maximize sales efficiency. Maintain accurate records, including sales intel reports, expense reimbursement forms, and other documentation. Assist in creating a request for proposal (RFP) responses to potential clients. Represent the company and perform professional presentations and demonstrations at customer sites, pro‑tradeshows, and exhibitions. Make a front‑line assessment of market conditions and advise the company of the findings. Understand and adhere to the company's health and safety policies, programs, and procedures by communicating and promoting health and safety awareness. Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics, and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect toward all stakeholders. Participate in the company’s quarterly inventory count. Other responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned by the BC Region Sales Manager. Candidate Profile Building Materials/Construction/Manufacturing sales experience preferred. Prior knowledge of Bailey Products is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to conduct presentations. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Valid driver's license and clean driver’s abstract. Working Conditions Frequent travel is required, often up to several hours per day or more of driving. Ability to travel to, attend, and conduct presentations. Overtime as required.
