About The Opportunity On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Head of Private Capital Markets to lead and grow the firm’s East Asia investor practice, reporting to the Executive Director. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of strategy, relationships, and team performance for one of the firm’s most strategically important investor segments. The incumbent will represent the firm at the most senior level with high‑net‑worth clients across the broader East Asian community in Canada, while leading and coaching a high‑performing internal team. The successful candidate will be a sophisticated, bilingual (Mandarin and English) sales leader with a proven track record of building and scaling profitable client portfolios within investor communities. They will bring deep knowledge of investment products, exceptional executive presence, and the cultural fluency needed to engage thoughtfully with high‑net‑worth investors. They will be a coach, a strategist, and an operator — comfortable setting direction, leading new ideas and initiatives, and elevating the standard of work across their team. The compensation package is a base salary in the range of $150,000–$200,000 with a discretionary bonus of up to 100% of base, along with full health benefits and four weeks of vacation. Responsibilities Build and steward a portfolio of high‑value East Asian investor relationships, providing sophisticated guidance across offerings, suitability, structure, risk, and performance Lead the investor sales process for both project‑by‑project and open‑ended fund capital raises Serve as a senior ambassador of the firm at investor events, industry conferences, and high‑profile engagements within the East Asian investor ecosystem for new business development Re‑engage and re‑activate past investor pool through new initiatives, events, product offering, and relationship building Handle complex investor inquiries, escalations, and deal‑specific discussions with professionalism and discretion Sales Strategy Set the strategic direction for the East Asia investor practice in partnership with senior leadership, defining objectives for capital growth, retention, and expansion across existing and emerging investor communities Develop long‑range plans to deepen the firm’s presence within East Asian investor communities in Canada and across the Pacific Translate market trends, investor behaviour, and competitive positioning into clear strategic priorities and growth opportunities Implement structured outreach plans, targeted marketing initiatives, new networking strategies, and thought leadership activities that drive new investor engagement Partner with Marketing team to refine investor‑facing materials, presentations, webinars, and educational content tailored to the East Asian investor audience Team Oversight Oversee the team’s investor pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring disciplined tracking, prioritization, and movement through every stage of the engagement lifecycle Ensure all investor activity reflects the firm’s regulatory obligations under the Exempt Market Dealer (EMD) framework and suitability standards Lead, coach, and develop team members, setting clear standards for quality, accountability, and continuous professional growth Foster a culture of collaboration, resilience, and high performance across the team Qualifications 8+ years of experience in sales or business development, ideally within the financial services or real estate investment industries, with exposure to leading a sales or investor‑facing team Proven track record of building and scaling a profitable client portfolio, ideally within East Asian markets or investor communities Strong understanding of investment products, with preference for experience in the Exempt Market Dealer (EMD) regulatory framework Fluent in Mandarin and English (verbal and written) is required Proficiency with CRM systems — Salesforce strongly preferred — and the MS Office suite Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and translate them into clear strategy Exceptional relationship‑building skills with high‑net‑worth and sophisticated investors Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, influence, and set a standard of excellence across a team High resilience, adaptability, and comfort operating in fast‑paced, dynamic environments Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professional integrity Ability to travel occasionally to support investor engagements #J-18808-Ljbffr
