Our products are manufactured in our Glencoe facility and then transported to Thamesville for final assembly and shipping.About the Role Penta is seeking a skilled and driven Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and continuously improving our manufacturing processes for agricultural equipment. This position serves as the critical link between product design and shop‑floor execution—turning engineering concepts into safe, efficient, repeatable, and cost‑effective production methods. The successful candidate will be hands‑on, process‑focused, and passionate about operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows to improve efficiency, safety, and product qualityDevelop and maintain process documentation, including standard work instructions, routings, and setup proceduresCollaborate with Product Engineering to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and assemblyLead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, cycle time, and production costs while improving qualityEvaluate, design, and implement tooling, jigs, and fixtures to enhance operator safety, precision, and throughputSupport production teams through training and troubleshooting of new or modified processes and equipmentWork closely with Process Planning to validate BOMs and routings for accuracy and efficiencyPartner with Industrial Engineering to identify root causes of downtime and inefficiencies and implement corrective actionsLead the sourcing, installation, commissioning, and integration of new production equipment and machineryLead Penta’s automation initiatives, including programming support as requiredEnsure all manufacturing processes prioritize workplace safety, ergonomics, and regulatory complianceOur Ideal CandidateDegree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (agricultural or heavy equipment manufacturing is an asset)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, automation, and equipment integrationProven experience driving process improvements and cost-reduction initiativesAbility to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and planning teamsStrong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, shop‑floor mindsetKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is an asset#J-18808-Ljbffr
