Inventory Control Specialist / Receiving Clerk (Day Shift) Location: Concord, ON Pay: $25–$28 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–3:30pm About the Role We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist / Receiving Clerk to support day-to-day warehouse operations. This role is responsible for receiving all incoming materials, ensuring accuracy, maintaining inventory integrity, and keeping the warehouse organized and efficient. You will play a key part in supporting production, communicating with vendors, and contributing to continuous improvement across the facility. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Material Handling Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and quantity Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently Label and allocate received materials to designated storage locations Perform daily pre-operational equipment checks (e.g., forklift inspection) Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, walkie stackers, and reach trucks Inventory Control Maintain accurate inventory records using Sage 300 – Inventory Control Support daily inventory tasks, monthly cycle counts, and annual inventory counts Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages, delays, or backorders Work closely with the inventory team to recommend replenishment needs Ensure proper stock rotation and organization of warehouse materials Warehouse Operations Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Manage disposal of wood waste and coordinate bin pickups Handle and store dangerous goods in compliance with regulations Follow all safety protocols, quality procedures, and documentation requirements Assist in other warehouse areas as needed and provide backup support to the Hardware Inventory Controller Communication & Collaboration Communicate with Purchasing, Production Supervisors, and vendors regarding material discrepancies or delays Document and communicate irregularities to maintain workflow continuity Train team members on equipment or processes as required Qualifications Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk, Inventory Clerk, or similar warehouse role Forklift operation experience required Working knowledge of computer systems for data entry (Sage 300 experience an asset) High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred Strong understanding of health & safety regulations Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to perform basic math and measurement calculations Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role Skills & Competencies Strong commitment to safety and quality Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Adaptability and willingness to cross-train Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and continuous improvement focus Demonstrates integrity, teamwork, sustainability, excellence, and humility
