Junior Environmental Scientist/Technologist/Geoscientist A Day in the Life As an Junior Engineer/Scientist, in our Calgary, Alberta office , you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals. The compensation range for this role is $25.00 to $35.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: Assist with the field coordination and execution of Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments; remediation and ground water monitoring programs Support well abandonment activities including surface reclamation, soil and vegetation assessment Contribute to the preparation of reports, work plans, and cost estimates Participate in spill responses and associated clean-up activities Travel as required to support field programs Aid other service line projects when needed Your Expertise and Skills Degree or technical diploma in the environmental sciences, engineering, or other applicable field 1-3 years of related experience Function effectively as part of a collaborative team Service-oriented and have the ability to multi-task Self-motivated and possess strong written and verbal communication skills A valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions and clean driving record Work Environment and Physical Requirements Sitting, standing, and walking Lifting 50 pounds several times a day Often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sunlit, rainy and windy conditions EEO Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
