Job Details Agricorp is seeking a contract Senior Human Resources Consultant to join our Human Resources division to help deliver financial and risk management programs for Ontario’s agriculture sector. In This Role, You Will Partner with leaders to assess business needs and recommend effective HR solutions, including workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management Provide expert advice to leaders and employees on a broad range of HR matters such as employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and learning and development Build strong, trusted relationships across the organization to enable effective consultation and collaboration Ensure HR practices align with legislation, organizational values, and best practices Develop and recommend solutions for complex and sensitive employee relations matters, including discipline, investigations, attendance, and termination considerations Escalate highly sensitive or high‑risk matters to the Director, Human Resources as appropriate Provide HR expertise to change management initiatives Work closely with internal partners (e.g., Communications, Finance, IT) to deliver integrated solutions Manage relationships and initiatives with external HR service providers and participate in vendor selection and RFP processes, as required Job status: 12-month contract (posting is for an existing vacancy) Work status: Full time in‑office Salary: $81,498 – 95,880 Location: Guelph, Ontario Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field; specialized HR training or certification (e.g., organizational design, adult learning, employee engagement) is an asset 5 or more years of progressive human resources experience; public sector or broader public‑sector aligned environment experience is an asset Experience managing complex employee relations and providing senior‑level HR consultation Experience working with third‑party HR service providers Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing human resources policies, programs and procedures Possesses or working towards a human resources focused designation is an asset (Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Leader (CHRL) preferred) Key Competencies Initiative – Identifies and deals with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities that arise Team Work & Collaboration – Works collaboratively within diverse teams, work groups and across the organization to achieve group and organizational objectives Achieving Quality Results – Focuses efforts on managing one’s self to achieve high quality results consistent with the organization’s standards and measures, while managing risk Planning and Organizing – Develops, implements, evaluates and adjusts plans to reach goals, while ensuring the optimal use of resources Work Ethics & Values – Fosters, demonstrates and supports Agricorp's ethics, values and core qualities Client Focus – Provides service excellence to internal and/or external clients Critical judgment, decision-making and problem solving – Uses critical judgment to make decisions and solve problems involving varied levels of complexity, ambiguity and risk Change advocacy – Advocates, leads and enables the process of change while helping others deal with the transition #J-18808-Ljbffr
