Key Responsibilities: The Production Kitchen Manager will learn and master all company recipes and production processes, then lead daily kitchen operations by directing and supporting the production team. This role works closely with the owner to ensure consistent product quality, efficient workflow, and a positive, high-performing kitchen environment. Kitchen Operations Support the Owner and Operator in daily production and kitchen management. Prepare and cook food according to company recipes, methods and standards. Ensure consistent product quality, food safety, and sanitation practices. Assist in developing and maintaining efficient production workflows. Monitor kitchen cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health regulations. Inventory & Ordering Create and manage shopping lists and inventory requirements. Assist with ordering supplies, ingredients, and kitchen essentials. Monitor stock levels and minimize waste Preparation of deliveries and ensure proper storage of products. Staff Leadership & Development Learn all operational and mechanical systems and procedures of the kitchen. Assist with employee scheduling and labor planning. Support hiring, onboarding, and training efforts. Eventually take on a leadership role in training, mentoring, and motivating kitchen staff. Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment. Administrative Support Assist with operational planning and process improvements. Help maintain production records and operational documentation. Communicate effectively with ownership regarding kitchen performance and needs. Optional Marketing & Social Media Support Participate in creating content for social media platforms. Assist with Facebook page management and promotional activities. Contribute ideas for marketing initiatives and community engagement. Qualifications Required Previous professional kitchen experience. Chef or culinary leadership experience. Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation, food safety, and sanitation standards. Ability to lift and stand for long hours. Physically fit in order to operate equipment and cooking. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and leadership potential. Positive attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of the business. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for dependable transportation. Preferred Experience in a production kitchen, commissary kitchen, or food manufacturing environment. Experience with production lines or high-volume food production facilities. Previous supervisory or management experience. Inventory management and purchasing experience. Interest or experience in social media, marketing, photography, or content creation (only if there is an interest).
