Why This Role Is Critical The Framatome Canada (FC) Quality and H&S will be an integral part of FC from tender phase through project delivery. The role envisions, defines, and executes business plans at a section level while managing an organization of quality assurance, health and safety professionals, and support staff. The position has cost‑center responsibilities, may have multiple work‑group responsibilities, and holds final authority on employee performance, development, long‑term planning, and staffing decisions. What You’ll Do Day‑To‑Day Ensure quality deliverables meet contractual quality requirements. Represent Framatome Quality to customers and internal quality organizations. Voice the customer’s perspective to the FC Product Line and Framatome Quality Leadership. Plan and build the FC Quality and H&S team to support I&C business needs. Serve as representative for Nuclear Safety Oversight for FC. Implement Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Loss Prevention Programs within FC in coordination with Framatome Inc. team members. Support Operational Excellence initiatives with trained team members. Act as an effective Framatome Quality representative to customers and regulatory agencies. Review customer quality requirements, identify and report deviations and gaps, and clarify contradictions to applicable regulatory codes and standards. Ensure FC suppliers are adequately qualified and correctly listed in the Framatome Approved Supplier List. Lead development of Project Quality Plans. Monitor quality risks throughout the project and raise concerns when necessary. Stop activities if nuclear safety or any major safety issue is at stake. Conduct internal audits of engineering deliverables against project plans, software development plans, IV&V plans, requirements management plans, and configuration management plans. Conduct internal audits of engineering processes aligned with the Framatome Quality Assurance Program and customer expectations. Lead inspections and sign off on Safety Systems Test Procedures and Reports. Coordinate quality witness at Safety Systems Tests. Coordinate quality inspections and sign offs on FC manufacturing product quality packages, receipt inspections, Quality Assurance Data Packages, and storage control reports. Support equipment qualification. Initiate and drive ongoing FC supplier qualification audits and inspections. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in nuclear quality assurance. Advanced knowledge of engineering and quality assurance standards, techniques, and criteria. Excellent communication skills to comprehend, follow direction, and convey detailed technical data. Ability to build a developed network and maintain good interpersonal relationships; works collaboratively in a team environment. Advanced problem identification and resolution skills. Leadership characteristics and mentor less experienced team members. Experience with TSSA, CWB, and CSA standards.
