Your RoleAs a Gensler Architect, you will lead a team of architects and technical designers to deliver architectural projects. You will leverage your industry experience and technical acumen to drive client projects from concept through build. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate on projects across several practice areas. Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives. Coordinate documentation with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.). Resolve complex technical and design issues. Manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination. Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction. Participate and/or lead in the construction administration of projects and review submittals and finish samples. Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs. QualificationsAccredited degree in Architecture. Licensed in British Columbia (AIBC). 12+ years of experience in a commercial design firm. Experience in core & shell architecture and interiors. Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office. Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants. Experience resolving complex technical and design issues. Experience performing zoning and code analysis in multiple jurisdictions. Understanding of building construction and ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be done. Understanding of sustainable and universal design concepts. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship‑management skills. Previous experience in sustainable design projects preferable; especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification. Include work samples in a PDF format. Compensation & BenefitsThe base salary range will be estimated between $105,000 and $130,000. Gensler’s total compensation package is multi‑layered and includes a base salary and two annual bonuses paid in December and June.
