We are seeking experienced Linux Patching Engineers to support a high-volume, enterprise environment with a strong focus on cloud-hosted infrastructure . The role will be responsible for maintaining system security, stability, and compliance through effective patch management across both on‑prem and cloud platforms. This is a hands‑on technical role suited for candidates comfortable working in fast‑paced environments with strict patching cycles, change management processes, and uptime requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform OS patching and updates across Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) Execute scheduled and emergency patching activities in line with security and compliance requirements Manage patching across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments Utilize patch management and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Satellite, WSUS equivalent for Linux) Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and security teams for patch validation and approvals Participate in change management processes , including documentation and change tickets Troubleshoot patch failures and system issues post‑deployment Ensure minimal downtime and service disruption during patch cycles Maintain accurate documentation of patching activities and compliance status Support vulnerability remediation efforts based on security scans (e.g., Qualys, Tenable) Required Skills & Experience 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience administering Linux systems Strong experience with Linux patching and lifecycle management Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Bash, or Python scripting Knowledge of change management processes in enterprise environments Experience working with vulnerability management tools Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple patch cycles #J-18808-Ljbffr
