Overview We are assisting a reputable client in the geoscience industry with the search for a Senior Front End Developer. Location: Calgary, AB – Hybrid (2 days in the office) Base pay range: CA$140,000.00/yr - CA$150,000.00/yr Role summary: You will work on a cloud-based geoscience auto modeling application that uses advanced machine learning to help users extract insights from drilling data quickly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Develop responsive, high-performance UIs using React and TypeScript. Integrate and extend 3D visualizations for large geoscience datasets. Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to deliver user-centric features. Architect scalable, maintainable frontend codebases. Optimize rendering performance and overall user experience. Conduct code reviews and uphold development best practices. Plan and manage frontend release cycles, ensuring quality and compliance. Contribute to software design decisions and technical strategy. Lead small projects and support cross-functional initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on frontend web development. Proven experience maintaining production-ready applications. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Assets Experience with Flask or FastAPI. Experience building frontend applications with Three.js or other 3D web rendering tools.
