Job Description Role: Technical Architect – Liquidity & Virtual Accounts Location: Toronto, ON Role Summary We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Architect to support strategic initiatives within the Payments & Cash Management technology space in Toronto. This role is ideal for professionals with strong domain expertise in Liquidity Management and Virtual Accounts , combined with deep architectural experience in enterprise banking environments. The Technical Architect will play a key role in designing and governing scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions aligned with enterprise standards. The individual will work closely with business, product, and engineering teams to enable delivery of next-generation liquidity and account solutions . Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end solution architecture for liquidity and virtual account platforms Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and compliant technical designs Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture frameworks, risk, and regulatory standards Provide architectural oversight across system integration, data flows, and API ecosystems Collaborate with stakeholders across Payments, Treasury, and Cash Management domains Support delivery teams through design reviews, governance, and technical guidance Contribute to modernization initiatives , including cloud adoption and microservices transformation Required Experience & Skills 10+ years of experience in technology architecture and software engineering Liquidity Management Virtual Accounts Corporate Cash Management / Payments Proven experience in large-scale banking or financial services environments Strong knowledge of: Microservices and API-led architecture Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Event-driven and distributed systems Solid understanding of security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in Canadian banking Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Canadian payments ecosystem (e.g., Lynx, Interac, RTR) Knowledge of ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging standards Experience working within governance-heavy, matrixed organizations Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders What Sets You Apart Ability to balance innovation with regulatory and risk considerations Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs Strong leadership in driving architecture best practices and standards Note: The salary range provided is indicative.
