Position Summary Part‑time High School English Teacher/English Tutor – teaching position at Oxford Learning North York Willowdale. Location Unit 302, 121 Willowdale Ave., North York, ON, Toronto, Ontario. Employment Type & Salary Part‑time; $18.00 – $23.00 per hour. Schedule Evenings (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm), Monday‑Friday; Saturday availability. Minimum of 2 evenings per week. Commitment through the 2025‑2026 school year (June 30) and possible summer continuation. Position Requirements Availability during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm). Available for a minimum of 2 evenings/week. Commitment through the end of the 2025‑2026 school year (June 30), with the possibility of continuing through the summer. In‑person instruction. Ability to commute to the designated location – relocation packages are not available. Mandatory vulnerable sector screening. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field. Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered. Teaching certification an asset. Good knowledge of the current K‑12 curriculum. Experience Some experience teaching/tutoring at a K‑12 (or equivalent) level. Strong English written and oral communication skills; ability to guide students’ understanding. Teaching French desirable. Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time. Responsibilities Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels. Teaching online and in-person. Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies. Filling in post‑lesson notes. Completing daily student communication updates.
