Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is actively involved in developing the Sept-Îles region and in executing various projects in the mining and metals, and energy sectors. Responsibilities By joining our team, you’ll have the opportunity to assist our industrial clients in the energy and mining markets with their operations and their maintenance or growth projects. In more practical terms, you’ll be called upon to perform site surveys and tests on high- and medium‑voltage electrical equipment, as well as participate in the commissioning of new equipment and systems. You’ll also have the opportunity to help with various stages in project execution. What’s more, you’ll be responsible for ensuring quality professional services and for maintaining strong client relationships. Assist our industrial clients in their day‑to‑day operations in the field: troubleshooting, root cause analysis, staff training, shutdown planning and asset management Perform site surveys Participate in equipment testing and commissioning Perform short‑circuit, power flow, protection coordination, arc‑flash hazard studies and harmonic content analyses as well as steady‑state and transient analyses in industrial power systems Design and read various types of electrical drawings Draft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications and reports Attend internal or client coordination meetings Participate in project management (costs, schedules, labour, etc.) Qualities and Values Results-oriented: Demonstrate rigour in executing your work and constantly seek to exceed set objectives Respect: Maintain an inclusive work environment and value everyone’s contributions Integrity: Be trustworthy and respect BBA's ethics and values Service excellence: Demonstrate independence in managing relationships with clients, colleagues and partners Leadership: Inspire respect and trust in others and create a climate conducive to teamwork Entrepreneurship: Be proactive in promoting your skills to peers and internal (e.g., directors, project leaders) and external clients (BBA clients) Communication: Have strong listening, synthesis and writing skills Creative: Demonstrate resourcefulness and innovation in providing solutions Certifications and Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or equivalent) Three or fewer years of relevant engineering experience Available for short‑term work assignments between Sept-Îles and our Labrador City office, depending on business needs Available for short‑term (mandatory) and long‑term (asset) assignments with our clients across Québec and the rest of Canada Knowledge of MS Office Suite and other database applications Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally.
