As the Senior Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the project from preconstruction through to completion, ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.This role is ideal for an experienced leader who thrives in complex environments, brings a strategic mindset to project delivery, and is motivated by the opportunity to lead a flagship project that contributes to Durwest’s continued growth and reputation.Key Focus Areas Project Leadership & OwnershipLead all phases of the YYJ project from preconstruction through closeout, with full accountability for schedule, budget, and execution strategyAct as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor to the client and key stakeholdersProvide strong leadership to the project team, including mentorship and development of Project Coordinator(s)Maintain a consistent on-site presence, driving progress, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment across all partiesLead project closeout, including commissioning, deficiencies, turnover documentation, and client handoverContract & Commercial ManagementLead contract administration across Construction Management and General Contracting structures (CCDC 2, 5A, 5B)Oversee contract negotiation, scope alignment, and change management in collaboration with the Project DirectorEnsure timely and accurate management of RFIs, shop drawings, site instructions, and project documentationOwn the change management process, ensuring financial and schedule impacts are properly managed and approvedFinancial Leadership & Cost ControlOwn project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and reportingLead procurement strategy and trade partner selection, ensuring alignment on scope, pricing, and performance expectationsContribute to preconstruction planning, including budgeting, value engineering, and cost optimizationBuild and maintain strong relationships with trade partners to ensure accountability and project successScheduling & Execution StrategyLead development and management of detailed project schedules in collaboration with the Superintendent and Project DirectorIdentify and mitigate risks proactively, adjusting execution strategy as requiredDrive efficiency and continuous improvement across all phases of the projectStakeholder CoordinationLead coordination with airport authorities, consultants, municipalities, and utility providersNavigate a complex stakeholder environment with professionalism, clarity, and confidenceEnsure consistent, transparent communication with all project stakeholdersSafety, Quality & ComplianceSet and maintain a high standard for safety, quality, and complianceFoster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork across the project team and trade partnersWho You Are You are a seasoned project leader who takes full ownership of outcomes and brings clarity and confidence to complex environments.
