Lead and oversee execution of the high‑voltage maintenance program, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Design, implement, and evaluate electrical systems and equipment to support plant operations, coordinating with design team members and developing solutions for potential weak points. Develop and manage capital projects, including budgeting, project scope, specifications, and documentation, while maintaining and updating power distribution system records. Provide expert advice and training on electrical equipment, fostering continuous improvement, reliability, and energy‑saving opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers, staying abreast of new technologies that could benefit the business. Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or 3‑6 years of industrial experience with expertise in Electrical Distribution and Power Systems, and understanding of requirements for hazardous locations. Knowledge and experience in plant process control systems such as Allen Bradley PLCs, Modicon PLCs, Foxboro I/A DCS, and Aspen IP.21; co‑generation knowledge is an asset. Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, with leadership skills to direct multidisciplinary contractors. Strong knowledge in sizing, specifying, and installing electrical motors, industrial electrical equipment, VFDs, and motor soft starters. Excellent analytical abilities, understanding of electrical standards and codes, and excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to establish long‑term relationships with internal customers, peers, plant staff, and engineering resources to enhance communication and provide optimal solutions. Organize and manage multiple tasks independently, ensuring compliance with Corporate and Governmental EHS requirements while implementing proactive maintenance strategies. Utilize improvement techniques for complex issues, facilitate knowledge sharing, and provide troubleshooting assistance to enhance process performance and operational support.
