Your new role As a member of the Geology team, the successful candidate will report to the Geology Superintendent. This role will require an individual who is safety driven and safety conscious, and capable of working with a diverse team of Mine and Exploration Geologists, Technical Services staff, Geological Technicians, Diamond drillers and Mine Operations personnel. The selected applicant will be an integral member of the Geology team, tasked to plan, manage, and execute mine exploration and resource growth activities including drilling, mapping, sampling, reconciliation, and production control. What you'll need to succeed Minimum undergraduate degree in Geology (or equivalent); post-graduate degree considered an asset. Registered or eligible to be registered as a Professional Geoscientist in the province of Ontario. Minimum 10 years’ experience in mineral exploration at active mining operations, minimum 2 years a Supervisory or Lead role. Greenfield or Brownfield exploration experience also considered. Advanced knowledge of geological principles and ore deposit models. Experience in Archean gold systems typical of the Canadian Shield would be considered an asset. Demonstrated proficiency with mining and database software. Experience with Leapfrog Geo or equivalent geological modeling software, Vulcan, Deswik, or equivalents would be considered an asset. Prioritization, organization, planning, scheduling and forecasting skills and experience. Strong presentation and verbal skills. Able to communicate ideas and recommendations in both written and verbal forms across all levels of the organization in a clear manner. Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
